One Crown Heights Neighborhood Festival

Sunday July 9th, 2017 from Noon – 5PM
In Brower Park on the Shirley Chisholm Circle at Kingston Avenue & Park Place.

Friends of Brower Park, led a community weave project. Project Care and the Brooklyn Children’s Museum brought this festival to the Crown Heights community.

Location: Brower Park (between Brooklyn and Kingston Avenues on St. Marks Avenue)

Entertainment: Student Performances, Archery Lessons, Hands-on Art Activities, Games, Contests, Music, Food and more!

Take a moment to visit the Friends of Brower Park Monarch Butterfly Garden. It will be open from 11 AM – 2 PM. Learn how to build your own native plant garden and help save our pollinators.

Volunteer at Brower Park!

Help maintain Brower Park’s native plant Monarch Butterfly Garden habitat, and the park’s trees and plants. Enjoy a season of Natural Discovery.

  • Work side-by-side with your neighbors.
  • Earn Community Service Credits.
  • Become a Brower Park Steward.
  • Help inform our community about the need to preserve and protect Brower Park’s  plants and wildlife.
  • Learn about the ecosystem that is being established by natural forces in the Monarch Butterfly Garden Habitat.

Meeting Location: Park House (near Prospect Place & Brooklyn Avenue)

  • Sundays: May 7, June 11, August 20, October 15 (plant Daffodil Bulbs & Harvest Seeds).
  • Saturdays: May 27, July 15, September 16, November 18 (Leaf Crunch).
